Mr. Zhi-Jie Cao joined the Lab at 2017 as a PhD student, after he got his Bachelor’s degree in biology from Peking University. He is currently working on developing data mining tools for single cell genomics.
My major interest is in developing data mining tools for single cell genomics data. I’m currently focused on developing a highly scalable statistical learning model to integrate single cell genomics data from different sources, hoping to extract true biological signal from data confounded with systematic bias. Also, I hope that interpretation of the model may help generate novel insight in gene regulatory network within living cells.
